Family and Lifestyle

I love family photographic sessions. My main style is relaxed, not to much posing but more along the lines of having fun and then documenting just that….fun!

Recently I got to photograph the Basson family who are one of my favourites. Their boys are endless bundles of energy and this keeps me on my toes, but I wouldn’t want it any other way!

From start to finish Juliet made us feel like we were the most important people in the world. Her calmness and professionalism were the exact tonic for a thoroughly enjoyable experience and the family had the very best time. Not only did she give excellent direction and advice but more importantly knew WHEN to direct and advise.
The results were outstanding. Vibrant colours and crisp sharp pictures we can all be proud of. What a fantastic family experience.
I cannot recommend her highly enough. If you’re in need of anything photographic then give this young lady a call. You don’t be disappointed. Believe me.
Juliet we salute you and many many thanks xx

Absolutely outstanding! If you hire Juliet you will NOT be disappointed, she is the full package. She has an exceptional eye for detail and a very natural knowledge of what will work for each individual, aside from what she has learned and been taught over the years, there is some other intuition, which I can only assume she was born with. Over the years I have had pictures taken of myself and more recently my son. I have been astounded with the photos, particularly the ones of myself as I am not comfortable infront of the camera and I usually end up looking stiff and awkward. Not the case with Juliet she was very sensitive to this and somehow managed to relax me and guided me along the way. The resulting photos were fantastic as are the ones of my son, which take pride of place on the walls in my home and attract a lot of compliments! Fantastic, honest, discreet and reliable on top of everything else too. The full package and a whole lot more!

We are absolutely over the moon with our Wedding photos Juliet Kim Bates! You managed to capture our Wedding day exactly as we had hoped! Thank you thank you so much for making our Wedding day so special and for the beautiful photos you have created they are beyond anything we could have imagined!

Weddings and all year round sunshine!

Sunshine all year round makes Gran Canaria the perfect place for a destination wedding!

I was very lucky to have the opportunity to take photographs of Veena and Mick’s Hindu ceremony. It was vibrant and bursting with colour with many surprises unfolding throughout the special day!

This couple decided on two ceremonies in one day, so not only did I get to photograph an Indian ceremony I also got to photograph an English ceremony too!

Weddings in Gran Canaria

In the run up to the winter season Gran Canaria is a very popular choice for weddings. The weather is known for being hot all year round with just a few weeks of rainfall each year. With a variety of beautiful places and venues there is something for everyone. This venue was the Lopesan resort, Hotel Gran Costa Melonares. It has been featured in the latest film release Wild Oats. Making it a very popular and most sought after wedding venue.

Just a little message from myself to say thank you for the continued support. I’m looking forward to posting a lot more work in 2015! I wish you all a happy new year! 🙂

Merry christmas and a happy new year from JKimagesgc!!!!!!

First of all let me start by wishing you all a very merry christmas and a happy new year!

Well it was a busy one this month, lots of planned December bookings and also lots of last minute gift ideas!

Photo sessions in Gran Canaria can look less than wintery when you have sunshine all year round! But with a little creativity and a lot of sweat, it can be achieved! One of my christmas family shoots was quite challenging as it’s still quite hot here, so wearing jumpers, hats and scarves is probably not the best way to go! But you know me, anything for a good photograph!!!!!!!!!

I am happy to say I have been very busy, but unfortunately have not been able to display recent work! Most if not all of the shoots have been surprise gifts for family and friends. Therefore I hope the gifts received this year will be treasured memories for a very long time to come.

All these photographs were shot in a very sunny location, just to let you know that we don’t really get snow in Gran Canaria, so if your thinking of booking a holiday, don’t be put off by these pics!!!!!!
