If your booking a children’s shoot remember to put costumes on your list of outfits! That way you can plan on creating seasonal gifts, calendars and christmas cards. These are such lovely gifts for family and loved ones adding a personal touch!
Halloween is supposed to be super scary, but personally I think this little pumpkin is the cutest thing i have ever seen!
What a great excuse to dress up and go trick or treating!!!!
As always I get asked by lots of clients if I offer gift vouchers and keepsakes? Well the answer is yes! So look no further if you have been struggling to find that perfect gift then you have come to the right place! I have a variety of photographic packages making it easy to suit all budgets. From model makeovers to family portrait sessions, I offer a variety of styles to suit everyone, and if you need your gift urgently, you can print out JKimagesgc very own E-Voucher. It doesn’t get easier than that!
I recently took part in a photoshoot with the lovely Swedish model Jennie Wetterstöm. It was quite a challenging shoot as some of the photographs required were taken in a swimming pool itself (those photographs will be released later on this month!)
Needless to say we had a lot of fun, even though by the end of the shoot we were sad to trash the beautifully styled hair and make up!!! I think we got some some great photographs. So for now here are just a couple of shots from the dry part of the shoot!
It’s been a very busy wedding season here in Gran Canaria but its not over yet! In fact unlike most places it stays hot all year round, making it the perfect place to get married. Obviously there is an increase in weddings in the summer at peak season. But the winter season here is also a popular choice. Myself I find it easier to work. The main reasons for this are due to the temperature being slightly cooler and the island not being as busy as usual. What better way to have a summer wedding in the winter!
BodaExpo is a must for anyone who is planning on getting married! The two day fayre takes place annually in the month of October and is never short of visitors. Couples who are in the stages of planning their big day can take advantage of special offers and discounts, on anything from wedding attire to wedding venues and exotic honeymoons. Personally my favourite part is the cake tasting! 🙂
Late July I received an email from a young couple asking if it was possible to book a shoot in the sand dunes here in Gran Canaria. Upon meeting them they were really excited to have their shoot. Sarune insisted on booking in with frdk salon to get her hair and make up done, Im sure you will agree she looks beautiful!
Sarune went on to tell me that they try to have professional photographs taken whenever they go abroad as it preserves the memories. I thought this was a lovely idea and made a mental note that my husband and I should also do the same! It’s also a good excuse to travel more! Anyway I’m glad that they found me on google and hope they will enjoy their lasting memories of their holiday in Gran Canaria!
I had the pleasure last week of photographing the lovely model Savennah Das. At only two years of age I was shocked at how wonderful she was in front of the camera, and absolute natural! It was so much fun and she did not stop smiling until she wanted to pose with a serious expression! This little girl was to cute for words and I actually think a few adult models could learn a thing or two from Savennah! Look out as she is sure to be gracing the pages of fashion catalogues very soon! Best of luck with your modelling career Savennah!
This week I have been very busy visiting new mothers in the comfort of their own homes! I often do this as it’s much easier for me to use my mobile photography kit and I think the clients are a lot more comfortable having everything around them. I always give clients the option of coming to my studio as it’s nice to have the choice. I like taking a selection of hats and props as it always makes for a better photograph! 🙂
Every now and then I get bookings abroad, this is a great opportunity for me as I am based in Gran Canaria. One of these bookings was the wedding of Sophie and Martin O’Grady at the lovely retreat of Millbrook in Devon. It was a very intimate ceremony with just the two of them. The couple shared the most romantic day, and luckily enough I was given the chance to capture those special memories. It was a rare hot and very beautiful summer in the UK of August 2013 and this was just the icing on the top of the cake for the happy couple! Sophie and Martin, I wish you a future of happiness.
